Quillzy ("the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains how we handle data when you use our Chrome Extension.

Data Collection

We do NOT collect, store, or transmit your LinkedIn content, AI-generated text, or API keys to any server we control.

The Extension operates primarily locally in your browser and communicates directly with your chosen AI provider (Browser AI on-device, Google Gemini, or OpenAI). The only exception is anonymous error monitoring (see "Error Monitoring" section below).

What Data is Stored Locally

The Extension stores the following data in Chrome's secure storage:

Error Monitoring

We use Sentry for anonymous error monitoring to detect when LinkedIn changes its page structure in ways that break the Extension. This helps us fix compatibility issues quickly.

Error data is sent to Sentry's servers (hosted in the EU) and is governed by Sentry's Privacy Policy. Error reports are only generated when a specific Extension feature fails to work on LinkedIn, not during normal usage.

  1. Chrome Writer API (Gemini Nano): On-device AI model provided by Chrome. Subject to Chrome's Terms of Service
  2. Google Gemini API: Subject to Google's Terms of Service and Generative AI Additional Terms
  3. OpenAI API: Subject to OpenAI's Terms of Use
  4. Sentry: Anonymous error monitoring service. Subject to Sentry's Privacy Policy
  5. LinkedIn: The Extension operates on LinkedIn.com but is not affiliated with or endorsed by LinkedIn Corporation
